Bembo Black Pepper

Black pepper is truly the king of spices and with its spicy and aromatic grains it flavors many dishes in recipes from all over the world. From a particular processing of the fruits of Piper nigrum, a plant of the Piperaceae family originating from India, the spice we know as black pepper is obtained. Black pepper is produced from the unripe fruits of Piper nigrum which are blanched and left to dry in the sun for about 10 days: in this way the grains dehydrate, blacken and take on their typical wrinkled appearance.

Whole grains enrich broths, salami and sausages, while freshly ground grains strongly flavor meat and fish but also pasta (spaghetti with cheese and pepper), soups and risottos. Black pepper is also excellent for giving a stronger flavor to cheeses and sweet vegetables such as fennel, carrots and peas.
