Turmeric is a rhizome comparable to ginger, with an intense yellow color, it is the basis of different spice blends. It is a spice widely used in Indian cuisine and also finds space in many non-food uses. In Europe it is mainly used in the ground form, its flavor is intense and unmistakable and it is particularly suitable for meat sauces (white-red) on some rice.
