Rhizome ginger

Native to South Asia and cultivated in ancient China and India, ginger was the first spice imported into Europe. The flavor is obtained from rhizomes that are sold fresh or dried, ground or candied. It has the ability to combat states of nausea and vomiting, it is a powerful painkiller capable of relieving rheumatic pain, it combats colds and is a valid support for headaches. The flavor is strong and spicy, the powdered one has a more pungent aroma than the dried one.
