Himalayan Pink Salt Crystals

The selected Himalayan Pink Salt comes from the Khewra Mines (in Pakistan) which are the largest salt mines in the world from the secondary era; the mountain salt crystal is of the quality called Halite and contains almost all of the oligomineral elements present in the human body. The Himalayan edible salt crystal changes color depending on the point of extraction but keeps its structure unchanged. In particular, the pink color of Himalayan salt depends on the high presence of iron it contains. It is a pure and very delicate edible salt with a decidedly different flavor from common kitchen salt: Himalayan pink salt is in fact naturally low in sodium, a characteristic which allows it to have a softer salinity capable of giving flavor to foods but without cover its original taste and organoleptic characteristics.
