Long Bengal Pepper

Long Bengal pepper is one of the most particular and appreciated peppers ever. It is characterized by a unique grain shape: a small elongated pine cone. The quality proposed by Bembo has a very aromatic, delicate and enveloping flavour, with hints of vanilla, nutmeg, citrus fruits, liquorice, cinnamon and hot resin. On the palate it may initially recall the aroma of the more classic black pepper but, after a short while, it is decidedly stronger and more incisive.

In the Kitchen : It also gives your cocktails a clove-like and sweet scent. In some traditions, long pepper is also used in hot drinks, such as spiced chai, to add depth and heat.
