Panch Phoron

Panch Phoron is an Indian spice blend typical of East Indian cuisine, particularly the regions of Bengal, Assam, Bihar and Odisha, as well as used in some parts of Bangladesh. With a medium-spicy flavour, its main components are cumin, sesame and fennel.

In the Kitchen : Panch Phoron enhances white meats and fish. But lentils, chickpeas, rice and vegetables also find an ideal match in the flavors of this mix of spices.
