Panch Phoron

Ingredients: Cumin, Black Seed, Mustard, Fenugreek, Fennel. May contain traces of Sesame and Celery.

Panch Phoron is commonly used in Bengali cuisine to prepare soups, stews, stir-fries, and vegetable, fish, and meat curries. It's often added at the beginning of the preparation, when the oil or butter is being heated, so that the spices release their aromas and flavors in the hot oil.

The combination of these five spices gives a unique and distinctive flavor to dishes, helping to create a balance of sweet, bitter, and spicy flavors.

Panch phoron mixture can also be used to make sauces, dressings, marinades, and fritters.

Apart from Bengali cuisine, it is also occasionally used in other regional cuisines of India, although it is most common in the East Indian region.

No glutamates, anti-thickeners, colorants, or other chemicals. Store this product in a cool, dry place, away from heat sources, to maintain its organoleptic properties.
