"Sphere" Glass Salt and Pepper Shakers

Since ancient times, salt and spices, including pepper, were highly prized because they were rare and expensive, and salt shakers were large because they indicated the owner's status. In the 17th century, containers with different compartments for salt, pepper, and other spices came into being. However, contact with air quickly alters these products. This is why Bembo designed transparent glass salt and pepper sets to allow the colors of their contents to be admired, but almost completely closed to minimize contact with air.
