Halen Mon Natural Sea Salt is harvested by hand along the east coast of Wales in Great Britain. The procedure involves the extraction of the salt from the water filtered several times through natural processes. The water is then heated and evaporated by concentrating the salt, which is subsequently deposited in crystallization basins in which the characteristic flakes form. The various steps, all natural, give Halen Mon salt a snow-white color and its unmistakable flavour. Its light and crunchy flakes are particularly recommended in combination with raw meats.
