Coriander Seeds

Coriander comes in fairly uniform seeds of a light brown colour with light raised streaks, the flavour is quite sweet with a light lemon aftertaste.

Ground, coriander seeds are one of the ingredients of Curry, Garam Masala and Gingerbread. Widely used in modern delicatessen to flavor mortadella, sausage and salamella mantovana.

In the Kitchen : Ideal for preparing marinades, to enhance meat or fish dishes but it is also excellent in desserts or sprinkled on slices of fresh pineapple. It is also used in the preparation of desserts to flavor, for example, biscuits or confetti and is also part of the ingredients of panpepato (a typical dessert of the central Italian tradition, widely consumed during the Christmas holidays).
